I know the names are not fancy, but I wanted them to be really obvious and easy to remember. Albeit a bit nerdy, I think I accomplished my task. Each of the web addresses begin "rrbr" for "Redhead Riter Blog Roll." Next is the specific one word descriptions of each site which are "journal, food, contest, decorate, crafty, and other." These are then followed by ".blogspot.com"

The Personal Journal Blogroll is the personal family websites which discuss your life successes, failures, joys, sorrows, hopes and dreams. They are more an online diary.

The Food & Recipes Blogroll is exactly what it sounds like...filled with food, nutrition and kitchen tips and recipes. Feel free to send me your favorite recipes and any story behind their conception and I will be happy to feature them with a link leading to you.

The Contests & Giveaways Blogroll should help everyone who is looking for a free giveaway. As each blog makes a new posting, it will be brought to the top of the list and you can very easily identify where you need to visit next to enter a contest. It is also great for those who are hosting a giveway because the contest will be very apparent to everyone. If you post a "reminder" each day of all your contests, they could all appear in the snippet.

The Decorative Interiors Blogroll is eye candy (not quite as good as George Clooney, but will have to satisfy for now.) This will be especially fun if you want to share your completed renovations or fancy interior decorations because I will post your pictures and feature you on the site. This blog will be filled with pictures, because that is what decorating is all about!

The Crafting & Selling Blogroll will be jammed pack with crafting tips, selling advice and motivations to help keep a positive attitude with your eyes looking forward to success for your business. As I peruse through the internet I find so many wonderful items for sale and I look forward to featuring your success stories.

The Other Stuff Blogroll is my nerdy site (I'm laughing at myself) because it is dedicated to the "How To" and "Where to find" sites that I have found to be highly interesting or helpful, but the site didn't fit into any of my other main blogroll categories.

I hope that you will find something useful or enjoyable in all of them!

My pen name is The Redhead Riter which is "Writer" purposely misspelled. I wanted the alliteration of the "R's" thus the "Writer" is spelled "Rong"...Yes, I know the proper spelling for "Wrong" too.

I'm a grown woman, but I enjoy using my childhood photo as my profile picture because it brings back wonderful memories. That is what our existence on this planet is filled with...one memory after the next whether they are happy, sad, good or bad. They are what we call life.

I'm also a natural redhead with glow-in-the-dark skin that simply can not tan. If you ever see me tanned, call the FBI because it will really be an alien who has abducted the real me. In some eras redheads were worshipped while others thought us witches. I'm sure it had to do with the uncontrollable anger most redheads seem to have, but mine has been coped with and is kept in a padlocked trunk in the basement. Personally, I prefer to think redheads should be worshipped as they were during ancient times and every day is ♥ Love a redhead day! ♥

My Life

I'm the oldest of two children and my parents divorced when I was ten years old. That was hell, but I survived and emerged as an extreme introvert. Having very few friends, I found comfort in books and excelling in school. I graduated with honors in the top 5% of my class of 500+ students. After graduating and attending college, I "blossomed" into an extrovert that people gravitate to in order to tell me all their deepest darkest secrets. I really should become a psychologist.

I've been married twice and being a mother to my only child is my greatest pleasure and accomplishment. No matter how much success I may have in my future or have had in my past, my greatest accomplishment is being Alyssa's mother. She is everything I could ever want in a daughter and her kind, gentle, compassionate spirit has helped to make me a better person. Any sacrifices I have made on her behalf have been worth it and I would do it all over again just to ensure her happiness and success.

Professionally, I've been a busy woman learning, growing and have seen success as a Hotel General Manager with a major chain (by far the hardest job I've ever had), owned/own my own business and currently enjoy a career at a well known global corporation.

My newest endeavor has been blogging. I started this blog in the latter half of 2009 and would have done so earlier, but I didn't know "blogs" even existed. After blogging for a short time, I decided to start six subject specific blogs which I collectively refer to as The Blogrolls. The intention of each blog is to provide information on the individual subject as well as a list of other blogs that pertain to the same subject matter. These lists are constantly changing because as each new post is published, another blog is brought to the top of the list. It is a great way to stay caught up with the latest postings from each blog. Why Read The Redhead Riter?

The Redhead Riter is witty, intelligent and has something of interest for everyone. This site is dedicated to:

recording my life and history for posterity and others in hopes of making their journey through life a little easier,
helping bloggers improve their blogging abilities,
and sharing the awesome information gathered while surfing the internet.

Since I am a Woman Aging With Style (WAWS), this blog will remain a work in progress and it will be filled with a wealth of information on aging, parenting, marriage, art, inspiration, cooking, and blogging tips to help enhance the skills necessary to have a successful blog.
