Stylish, Creative Acquaefuoco Fireplaces With A Modern, Artistic Flair

A fireplace adds warmth, charm and a relaxed atmosphere. There is nothing that can provide as much of a cozy welcome as a glowing fireplace. However, what if you don’t want to chop wood and you can’t stand the smell of those fake logs?

I found fireplaces at Acquaefuoco that use bio-ethanol which makes them safer and eco-friendly. The fireplace will burn for many hours with very little clean burning fuel or maintenance. The Italian manufacturer has designs that are extremely innovative and modern. There is no need to install a chimney flue, so every room could have a fireplace! Their construction is of glazed, lacquered or powder varnished steel sheets and some also have glass.

In this fireplace collection, the contradictory natural elements of water and fire are recreated in the designs. The website explains that the “mental preparation stimulates right-brain activation hemisphere = feelings, appreciation, imagination, good preparation and more.”

Gorgeous!

Don't you think the fireplaces would look good in the loft or tiny home? I know they would look great in an earth house! I like them all, but I think my favorite is the small cylindrical style shown in the last photo. Which Acquaefuoco fireplace do you like the best?

The Fight With My KitchenAid Processor Blade

Cooking from scratch is something that I consider to be an enjoyable activity. Creating recipes, touching food, smelling ingredients and watching other people enjoy my dishes makes me happy. Dishes, pots, pans, flatware and appliances turn me on and I get quite excited over the littlest things that others totally ignore.

Of all the things in my kitchen, two of my most favorite small appliances are my KitchenAid stand mixer and KitchenAid food processor. No, I don't own stock in KitchenAid and I only WISH they would want to sponsor my blog!

Anyway, I got a burst of energy after getting home which led me to picking up stuff and cleaning. While I was in the kitchen putting away the dishes, I also noticed that my food processor blade wasn't put away. Rather than put it in the nice box that stores the blades, I decided to just plop it back into the processing bowl.

The KitchenAid processor blade is the sharpest thing I have in my kitchen. Since I definitely live up to my nickname, I have to be very careful with sharp objects. I know that "sharp" things are supposed to cause less cuts, but that simply is not true in my case.

This is the blade...

KitchenAid processor blade

Look closer.

Notice the tip of the blade.

The very tippy point on the blade is extremely sharp. I am always so careful when I am handling this blade because it just begs to injure me.

(At this point, you should insert the dun-dun-dun-dun of the music from the old Jaws movie. Can you hear it in your head now?)

KitchenAid processor blade closeup

The processing bowl is plenty big and the blade actually snaps into place quite easily. Once the blade is snuggled on the bottom of the processing bowl, I feel safe from my own antics.

KitchenAid processor blade in processing bowl

Wait a minute. Let's go back to the blade photo because I need to finish my story.

I'm at the point where I decided to just plop the KitchenAid blade back into the processing bowl. In my right hand, I hold the edge of the bowl with my four fingers on the outside and my thumb on the inside. Very carefully and slowly, I begin to slide the sharp blade into the bowl with my other hand, guided by the middle bowl support.

I was moving really slowly, however, I did not notice the location of the point of the blade and I was not looking at my fingers or thumb. I had almost decided to just PUSH it down when suddenly I felt pressure on my thumb nail.

another KitchenAid processor blade closeup

Glancing at my thumb, I realized that the sharp processor blade point is coming down on my nail. Instead of calmly pulling the blade back up, I panicked.

The hand holding the blade shook slightly and instead of pulling the blade directly up, I dropped it. The blade weighs quite a bit. So with the blade falling out of my left hand and my right hand trying to pull my thumb out of the bowl, the point of the blade went through the middle of the nail on my thumb.

KitchenAid processor blade scratches my nail

Oh my goodness it hurt and blood spurted out of the center of my thumbnail. Not only did that make me sick, but the feeling of the blade piercing my thumbnail just grossed me out. The sharp point on the processor blade "popped" through my nail.

Ewwwww!

I immediately ran my thumb under water and then I washed it over and over again.

Since I knew it would hurt later, I figured that I had better hurry and write my blog post. However, upon sitting down to type, I also discovered that my internet had gone down. Calling the customer service number for my internet provider only got me connected to India. Do you really think that the people in India know what is happening to my internet connection in Richmond, Virginia? (rolling my eyes) Oh please! They are reading off a script!

The Indian script reading customer service representative set up an appointment for a live person in the United States to visit on Thursday. Until then, I am told to keep checking to see if I can access the internet.

Obviously, I'm finally back online, but guess who has a thumb that is throbbing?

Yep! My thumb hurts. (laughing) Would that constitute me sharing a fact or is that whining?

The good news is that I got a bunch of chores finished and put away my food processor without further incident...

Well, kind of...

When I decided I would blog about my injury, I wanted to recreate "how" it happened in photos. So do you see the scratches on my nail in the last photo? That happened when I lost the grip on the blade when I was trying to take the photo and the the pointed end of it fell on my other thumbnail. It almost punctured that nail too, but I pulled my hand out of the way just in time.

Now you can understand why my KitchenAid processor blade is the only sharp knife I own.

Lingerie Types - Lingerie Spices Up Your Sex Life

I am a big advocate for always looking for other ways to spice up a relationship in order to keep it fresh and to help create a wonderful sex life. One of the big complaints with couples is that their marriage becomes the same old thing day after day. There are no real surprises. Equally, there is no real effort either. That is when the big "B" sets in...boredom.

Many people just accept a boring marriage and sex life as the status quo for long term relationships. The other day I told you a whole bunch about kissing to help take the boring factor out of your relationship, but there is even more you can learn that will keep the fires of passion burning.

Lingerie.

Not just any lingerie, but sexy lingerie.

I found a fancy lingerie shop one day while I was tweeting on Twitter. I love lingerie and have always found it very exciting. I'm sure it had something to do with all the lingerie my mother owned while married to my dad. Sorry to tell your secret Mom.

Anyway, while happily flipping through the fancy lingerie store online, I found many beautiful and sexy pieces. They even asked me to write a post on their blog. I guess it was quite apparent that I think lingerie is hot.

There are many kinds of lingerie. I've already inquired about whether it was possible to trade bodies with the models and that is not possible, so only the lingerie can be purchased. (wink) You really don't need a different body, because they sell every size imaginable. You have every reason to believe that no matter what size you may be now, there is still lingerie that will enhance your sexiness.

So the kids are asleep or maybe they are grown and living on their own. Either way, you both have some time on your hands and lots of love beating in your hearts. Now is the perfect time to pull out the fancy lingerie.

Types Of Lingerie

Isn't the saying, "So much lingerie, but so little time?"

There are many types of lingerie. There is a type for every mood or place that you are located:

Bodystocking

We all know that if you get really dressed up, you don a pair of stockings on your legs. A bodystocking is a lacy, see-through material that is a stocking for the whole body. Yes, it is very sexy.

Teddy

A teddy allows your legs to remain uncovered. To further break it down, a babydoll teddy can hide your imperfections because of the flowing material around the mid-section. If you're interested in accentuating the breast while concealing a few flaws, then a babydoll teddy is a sure fire winner.

Corset and Bustier

A corset adds support to the breast and does a wonderful job highlighting the cleavage. Even better, it flattens out that stomach! Corsets come in a wide variety of materials from soft and silky to leather and shiny.

Sexy Lounging Gowns

This isn't your grandma's flannel nightgown! A lingerie gown comes in ever color and style imaginable. They bring an elegance to your party for two as they swish around your legs with each step.

A Little More Coverage

Does showing too much skin just make you feel uncomfortable in the bright light of day? There's lingerie for that too. Actually, there are sexy dresses that will enhance the pre-moment quite nicely.

Lingerie Costumes

For those with a spark of adventure, lingerie costumes might be just the outfit you'll find appealing. From school girl to kitty, it's all there just waiting to slide onto your sexy body.

Special Occasions

Having a new love, new marriage and new life ahead is reason enough to celebrate with beautiful lingerie in white. Feminine white lingerie is the perfect choice for the bride on her special wedding night.

Sexy Shoes, Shoes and Shoes

The right shoe that will enhance your naked leg is definitely what you want to wear when you are striving for a sexy moment in your relationship. I know you might look at these shoes and think that they are too high for you to wear. My answer to your dilemma would be to remind you that you only have to take a few steps before you are on the bed and off your feet. (wink)

Men Should Buy Their Lovers Fancy Lingerie

Yes, women love lingerie as a gift. Women also know that not only is it a gift that we will enjoy receiving, but many men are just like Santa Clause - they can't get enough bows, elves and candy canes.

Maybe you are thinking, "Oh, The Redhead Riter got paid to do this post." I assure you that I did not get paid nor did I receive free lingerie. I know that lingerie can create fun times in a relationship and that a good sex life is very important to your happiness and health. A little bit of cloth strategically placed can generate renewed excitement which kicks boredom out the door. Do yourself the pleasure of feeling sexy...wear some fancy lingerie and love your sexy body.

Watching Movies In Peace On A Deserted Island

You are stranded on a desert island, so what three movies did you take to watch over and over again?

Don't hurry off because I will tell you how you can win $10,000 as part of the
Redbox Summer of Fun & Games Sweepstakes at the bottom of this post.

I am on a very beautiful deserted island...however, it has all the comforts of home because you know I simply can not live without air conditioning, a comfy bed and a hot shower. I was able to bring three movies with me too because there is a fancy DVD player and huge big screen television.

This is definitely roughing it.

While cuddled on the couch with my chocolate ice cream...Oh yeah, I have that too on this peaceful and quiet deserted island...I am hard pressed to decide which movie to watch first.

You know two of the three movies I would choose for my desert island adventure because last month I explained how and why I watched "Crossing Delancey" and "The MIrror Has Two Faces" over 3000 times each.

My downfall, I think, is sappy love stories. When Amy Irving finally falls for the pickle man and Jeff Bridges realizes that being in love really is one of the most euphoric feelings a person can experience, I am all smiles. I can even hear the birds twittering. Of course, on this deserted island I can hear lots of birds singing and even a few rustling bushes from the deer frolicking to and fro.

Choices, choices.

Out of all the movies I have ever seen, the third movie I would choose to take on the deserted island is one of my favorites, but I have not watched it anywhere close to 3,000 times which is why I would probably pop it in first. Let me tell you a little bit about "Something's Gotta Give" because it has three phenomenal characters played by awesome people.

Diane Keaton is a writer who is extremely modest in her turtlenecks, loves white and gets quite emotional while writing. I totally relate with her character! No, I do not wear turtlenecks in the summer. (rolling my eyes)

Keanu Reeves is the gorgeous doctor who does everything right while dating Diane Keaton and falls madly in love with her. Keanu is very easy on my eyes.

Jack Nicholson, a real player in every sense of the word, finally comes to realize that he loves Diane Keaton too. Jack is such a phenomenal actor that I forget I am watching a movie!

Since you are not on this deserted island with me, I highly suggest you watch this extremely entertaining movie. I am going to enjoy it before Pierre and I have dinner. Oh, you did not know about Pierre? Well, really, did you expect me to be on a deserted island without protection from all the creepy crawlers and animals?

So tell me below because I want to know, what three movies would you take on a deserted island?

No, you can not take Pierre, but he does have brother. (wink)

Manilla Can Save Me From My Cluttered Financial Mess!

They shut off the electricity!

I forgot to pay the internet service!

They are about to shut down the telephone!

Is paying bills almost a monumental task that you seem to always be messing up?

I know that keeping track of your financial commitments is actually a boring and stressful time for most people, but I can help you reduce the anxiety a bit.

Manilla.

No! I didn't say vanilla! We are not talking about ice cream, although if you use Manilla, you will have more time for just about everything else you want to do.

Manilla at manilla.com is a free web based service that helps consumers better manage all of their household accounts. The operative word here is ALL which includes utilities, subscriptions, financial and travel rewards programs. In one secure place online and with a single password, Manilla provides an automated, organized view of all of your account information.

Check out this page...crisp, clean and organized while telling you everything about your financial obligations.

That's a miracle and it is one you can enjoy!

Most people have more than 20 different household accounts, including three to four credit cards, several travel and hotel rewards accounts, multiple magazine and newspaper subscriptions, plus cable, phone, and other assorted utility bills. In order to stay on top of all this, people have to manage daily incoming paper mail, an array of online usernames and passwords, and websites in order to access important account information and take action. Manilla seamlessly retrieves all your account information – current balances, previous payments, upcoming bills due – and stores it for you in one secure place. Most importantly, you need only one password to view, manage and organize it all.

Take for instance this Comcast bill. Just with a quick glance, it is quite apparent that in six days a payment needs to be made in order to remain timely.

After paying the Comcast bill, you can easily look at all your other accounts and view the reminders of upcoming payments that are due. There isn't any last minute statements made like, "Oh my gosh, I have to pay the bill TODAY or our service will be disconnected!" Of course, you would also be flailing your arms in panic at the same time.

Not a pretty picture of you...tsk tsk.

Manilla uses your online account login to retrieve current balances and bill due dates for you, as well as stores many of your available account statements, notices, offers and bills, in one organized and easy-to-navigate account on Manilla.

You might be asking, "What are the other benefits of using Manilla?" and I happy to say, there are many...
  • It’s free
  • Saves time
  • Removes mail clutter
  • Creates an unlimited archive of many of your statements and bills
  • Consolidates all travel and rewards points in one place to help you make smarter travel choices
  • Includes reminders when payments are due -- and you can choose whether you want reminders via text message, email, etc.

Manilla takes security very seriously. A comprehensive security and privacy policy has been baked into the product from day one and is regularly tested to make sure it is always safe, secure and private for every user.

Manilla uses bank-level security practices like those used by major US financial institutions. Obviously, THAT is secure!

Each company that is added to the database agrees that the system is safe enough to house their company information. Although Manilla is a new company, they have already gained the trust of global institutions backed by the Hearst Corporation, one of the most diversified private media companies in the world.

It’s simple to get started on Manilla:
  • Set up your Manilla username and secure password
  • On the Accounts page select “Add Accounts” and search for your household accounts including banking, credit cards, loans, investments, cell phones, cable, Internet, magazine subscriptions and travel and hotel rewards programs.
  • Enter your online usernames and passwords for your accounts (if you don’t yet have an online username & password for some of your accounts, Manilla will take you where to go to set them up)
That is all you have to do! Three easy steps!

You heard me right?

Simple and easy set up with just three steps.

This is going to be the next big thing in organizing your financial life. Never again be caught up in the pile of paper or miss a bill that was eaten by the dog.

Sounds great doesn't it?

Just click the picture above and experience it for yourself.

Click it.

Go ahead, make my day. (wink)

As an added bonus, in June they are doing an amazing GIVEAWAY!!!!One lucky new user will win $1,000 cash to pay their bills!

I Watched Both Movies 3,000 Times

Redbox

Redbox, America's destination for movies with more than 27,000 locations nationwide, wants to know, "What's your family's most watched movie and how many times have you watched it?" Just for answering that question, two families will have a chance to win $10,000 as part of the Redbox Summer of Fun & Games Sweepstakes!

Does anyone want an extra $10,000?

Before you win (I am thinking positively for you), let me tell you about my two favorite movies. When Brittany and Alyssa were a young girls, I worked from home, but not always during the daytime hours because I was busy being a stay-at-home-mom. Three days a week, after they both went to bed, I would forgo sleeping and work through the night.

It was very quiet and boring without their company.

I couldn't stand it THAT quiet, so I would slip in a movie. Not just any movie, but one of my two favorites - "A Mirror Has Two Faces" with Jeff Bridges and Barbara Streisand or "Crossing DeLancey" with Amy Irving and Peter Riegert. The movies would play through the night over and over again.

Crossing Delancey AND The Mirror Has Two Faces

Sometimes I also watched the movies during the day or just kept them running in the background ALL day long because they were beautiful love stories and I'm a HOPELESS romantic - obviously. I never got tired of watching either movie even though I watched them both about 3,000 times apiece.

I heard you gasp.

I know that is a big number and seems almost crazy, but I really love those movies!

Are you okay now?

You weren't eating, drinking or chewing gum were you? I'd hate to be the cause of you choking.

Good! No choking hazards!

Now comes the really fun part...

You get to enter the sweepstakes!
